Meheret Lehr is the current Chair of the Board of Directors. She is the Project Manager at Socialab/Lab for Social Good and brings her program management expertise to the organization in order to further connect with the African Immigrant Communities throughout the DC Metro area. Throughout her time on HBI-DC’s board, she has widened the reach into new ethnic groups, helping to provide health screening, education, culturally competent interpretation for HBI-DC, and improved linkage-to-care pathways.
Yvonne Brooks-Little operates as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors. She is also the Medical Missions Director of Local and International Health Programs for Bethel World Outreach City of Hope and BWOMI, with country mission experiences in Ghana, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, and Cote d’Ivoire. Her overarching mission within the scope of HBI-DC is to improve health equity and reduce disparities within our target populations through improved whole-person care.
Isie Wong, the Board of Directors Treasurer, is the Director of Operations at eGov Systems and is an experienced leader in software and technology solutions. Her innovative approach to partnerships creation on behalf of HBI-DC has directly resulted in the growth of our organization to include HIV services, increase workforce and staff, and incorporate ArcGIS into evaluations.
Michael P. Reyes, a member of the Board of Directors, is a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Bank of America Corporation. His astute financial strategies will further assist HBI-DC in developing long-term wealth management solutions.
Byron Ma, Pharm. D. is a member of the Board of Directors and a Medication Therapy Management Specialist at Case Haub Consulting. As the leading pharmacist on our board, Byron keeps HBI-DC abreast of the best practice technology for our patients, improved methods for patient navigation and medication adherence, advice for patient medication side effects, and additional partnerships for vaccination disbursement.
